Re: Ad blue tank leaking on peugeot diesel
The 1.6hdi has other stock faults such as sudden engine cut outs, a neighbour of mine has one with this problem. Seemingly it's down to DPF regeneration or an intermittent crank sensor or (unlikely in Spain) water finding it's way into the fuse box under the bonnet.

That's why i opted for the 2ltr F, they seem to have the least mechanical faults , my mechanic says the engines are brilliantFixer Ed wrote: 08 Jul 2024 18:41 The 1.6hdi has other stock faults such as sudden engine cut outs, a neighbour of mine has one with this problem. I just didnt know it had adblue, it wasn't on any of the documents and there are no filler caps to make you aware
I believe there is a class action against peugeot at the moment over this, but only for 2015 models onwards i believe

UPDATE I have just filled out an online form and they have given me a case number to claim on a no win no fee, obviously all automated being this late at night
I don't know if they will pursue this due to me being resident in spain and only just purchasing it ,and it being a 2011 , but worth a try, especially with the adblue leaking the day after i bought it , i am sure they will call me tomorrow
I also have found three lawyers here in Spain offering no win no fee, so they might be a better option
Its about time some action was taken against the car manufacturers over this , they are taking the proverbial !!!
In the meantime affected cars could lose value over this, especially if you try to sell on with these adblue problems , never mind the push for EVs and the push for diesels to be taken off the road
