Re: Is Burns overrated?
So to answer the original question, in my 'umble opinion as a Scot (who's also not allowed to vote in any independence referendum) , most definitely Yes.
To laud and celebrate someone that probably 98% of the (Scottish) population can't even understand? And even if you can, most of it doesn't make ...

Re: A Christmas Carol
Sounds like another BBC 'box ticking' exercise. Was there a wheelchair in there somewhere I wonder? Someone with a suspicious shortage of limbs perhaps?
Not trying to be nasty or anything, just getting a bit pissed off with BBC PC.
Maybe I'm just of the wrong generation  Glad I didn't watch ...

Re: Hunting
Hunting?
Pathetic and barbaric and it has no place in a civilised society.
You want the thrill of the chase? How about the drag hunt. Much the same as the traditional hunt but without the mindless bloody murder of a (probably) innocent fox at the end of it. Maybe this doesn't satisfy the perverted ...

Re: Dying with Dignity
There is nothing wrong - in essence- with having the right to die.

Fridge freezer
I need to buy a new fridge freezer because mine has finally given up after 20+ years.
I'm not absolutely desperate for it because I won't be over again until February but only for a short window so what I need is somewhere that can offer me reliable delivery at an agreed time, a reasonable price ...

Re: Using Spanish ATM card in Portugal
Never used it elsewhere for Euros but I accidentally used my Sabadell card (thought it was Nationwide - same colour) in an ATM in Los Angeles recently.
It worked but that's all I can say at the moment until the statement comes through

Not exactly a Road Trip..
Recently my best friend and I went to a concert. We went to see The Who on what we figured could be their final tour. They were scheduled to play one date in UK but the ticket prices (Wembley) were horrendous so we decided to 'Bucket List' it.
