just need an audio lead from the Chinese bazaar plug it into the output on mac and other end into the headphone socket on tv
The one I got has both sound and video are you sure you are putting the HDMI lead into the HDMI number 1 socket on the tv that's the one to use as it has reverse signal feedback for audio

a) what are you plugin in the laptop to hdmi tv and is the adapter the correct one to go in the right direction (air laptop adapter to hdmi not the other way around)
