Absolute nuisance, I eventually got rid of them above my house three years ago. I climbed up on the roof of the block, lifted off some roof tiles and pulled out five of them by hand. They were nesting in the gutter valley under the tiles. I put a roll of wire mesh into the valley and never saw them again. They had the place destroyed with crap. Despite the best efforts of a Belgian neighbour to call the police every time I went up on the roof to get rid of them, I carried out the task at dawn one morning. Thankfully since then, there is no sign of them near the urbanisation. The administrators were of little help except to advise on the old CD trick which is a waste of time. I do believe pidgeons may be protected under Spanish law.

Nice work Jemmy on Ice and they all lived to tell the tale happily somewhere else. Relocation rather than extermination. I know they make a horrible mess like the swallows but it just doesn't feel right to shoot them. There are lots of them around our Urb but we are lucky to have lots of tall trees for them to sit and coo in all day to their heart's content. I prefer their cooing to the screeching of the parakeets who have graced us with their presence recently.

Strange that , you cannot shoot animals in spain but its ok to hurl sharp javelins and stab swords into bulls and kill them for sport

Hi Bee, well the owner has been notified about it, in mean time I’m just flashing a light at them and they leave , it’s amazing they are still in the area in block of apartments on other side waiting for their opportunity to get back ur right hard to move them on .
