SIP card

#1

Post: # 37968Post Toddy »

I recently started getting my UK state pension. I already have a SIP card and have had it for many years. I have been sent the S1 paperwork from the UK stating I am now a pensioner. My understanding is that I need to update the SIP card to reflect this.......e.g.prescription charges.
Can anyone advise me how to do this?
A few years ago there was a man called Abraham who worked in both Oriheula Costa town hall and Torrevieja tourist office and he would sort it out for you....but not sure if he is still does this. Or can I go to the Salud and do it there? I live in fear of having to try and get an appointment at the INNIS (?) office.
Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks for your help Freddo. Unfortunately it did not work. Went to the Salud yesterday, armed with TIE, passport, padron and S1 paperwork but was told had to get a stamped document from INNIS in exchange for the S1 document....and then the salud could update the SIP card. Went straight away to the INNIS office, which was practically empty with no queues or people waiting. They would not see me without an appointment. Tried all day yesterday and first thing this morning to get an appointment with no joy....none available. I think they want everything to be done on line with a digital signature. I have looked at that process and have given up the will to live.
Will have to get a gestor to sort it out me thinks but had hoped to do this (what I thought was) a simple exercise, myself. Not a problem, just frustrating.

This crowd say they do it for you for €50. They are in Torrevieja.

Would this link be any good to you for registering your S1 and getting your SIP.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/register-yo ... -you-start

Another name which can help from Quesada Forum

Steve Ford the translator to sort mine out. He is very knowledgable about the procedures and is familiar with the staff at the social security. Can highly recomend him, and probably a lot cheaper than a gestor.
His number is 667834487 or 965725409.
