Electric water heater fitting
Electric water heater fitting
Hi
I have a friend who is looking for someone to fit a new electric 80 lt water heater to replace the old one that is scaled up
He has the new boiler on order
The sizes are almost identical so it should fit on the old bracket, it is in an outside porch so easily accessible and can be emptied straight to the floor drain so no wory about any mess
Can anyone recommend a plumber to do this and an approximate price ?
It is an apartment close to consum at la zenia
TIA

Re: Electric water heater fitting
We used the ferret on the road going into Los Monesinos, its a large one up steps sorry cant remember the name, (just a short walk away from the hotel) , but they were excelent, we bought the boiler there and they came the next day and fitted it taking the old one away, I think it cost about €130 all in for an 80lt

Providing you are reasonably fit it's a simple job to do yourself, took me less than 30 minsjimny1 wrote: 22 Jan 2024 17:51 Hi

I remember one being fitted for another friend and it took two to lift off the old and replace the new, first they had to drain it and when they filled the new tank it needed bleeding as there was an air lock
Then i dont know if the existing wall bracket will fit the new despite both tanks being 80ltr
The other problem is i dont know where the stop cock is
Some apartments have an on off valve, some dont, then you need to turn it off at the communal water point, and i know some are a nightmare for showing the corresponding valves to the correct apartments
So for all the above reasons i would rather let a professional fit it , but thanks

Re: Electric water heater fitting
I have used Colin Linfield who is mentioned in Bee's post for plumbing work and found him very satisfactory

Re: Electric water heater fitting
Yes jimny1 midget plumbers would have their drawbacks and advantages
Reddragon I saw a post where somebody was looking for a plumber urgently on a Sat evening and Colin replied to the poster and went to their aid.
