The halt in the processing of the projects has other implications. For example, the City Council had included in its revenue forecast the Tax on Constructions foreseen by the Baraka Towers. The company estimated the investment in the construction and redevelopment of the block between Acequión beach and Gregorio Marañón avenue at 30 million euros.
Furthermore, in the case of the Don Sento promotion in Cala del Palangre, the municipality had requested from Costas a modification of the remodelling project of the promenade of Playa de los Locos to contemplate its connection with the promenade of Punta Margalla through the redevelopment of the sector by the construction of three skyscrapers.
In the project on the Los Náufragos beachfront, the City Council anticipated - by a long way - the final approval. It budgeted an income of 20 million euros in 2024 for the alienation (sale) of municipal land on that plot to be used for investment on account of the development of the project despite not being processed. Finally, it requested a loan to cover these investment forecasts.
