Elche today

Second season as a season ticket holder this was the best i've seen them play beating Atletico Madrid 1-0....pity they didn't play like this much earlier in the season and avoided relegation.....a cynic might say they they played this well to put themselves in the shop window.

2,000 km round trip for most Elche fans yesterday, I doubt if many slept on the return journey after that.

...... and thousands more at the Martinez Valero to meet the returning team bus in the middle of the night - amazing! I don't think any of them slept at all last night!
