Salus insurance

Does anybody else got Salus insurance and now can't use Quiron hospital because of a dispute ( I believe) .
If the nearest A&E for private insurance Imed in Elche ?

Is there a private Hospital near San Javier?

We had the same with Salus and cancelled our policies. We took out policies with Sanitas so we could stay with Quiron.

Salus told us that the two nearest private hospitals near us were Imed Elche or Imed Murcia. Imed Torrevieje is only a polyclinic and has scathing reviews.

We were about to renew the yearly payment when the dropped the bombshell with only ten days notice. I told them I wanted to cancel because they have removed part of the service that I had signed for, Quiron Hospital, and the notice was much too short .

They replied that they had also got short notice from Quiron but we must give one notice to cancel as per the agreement and the money will taken from our bank account.

I told them that I consder that they have broken that agreement by removing Quiron Salud, our nearest hospital, and the two others, Elche and Murcia, were too far away and we we cancelling the direct debits in person at the bank. In the end they agreed and sent us the relevant forms to fill in, and confirmed that the cancellation was successful. Looking at social media it seems that there are many hundreds of people affected by this sudden decision.

We've been with Salus and Quiron since 2010 and Quiron have all our medical records and procedures, some are ongoing, so the priority was to stay with them.

I don't know of any other private hospitals other than Alicante.

Salus have now offered me a reduced price for the 2026 policy. It wasn't the price of the policy that was at issue. !!
