Post office shut.

Our local Correos in Av. Desiderio Rodríguez has now shut, the nearest one is now in C. Caballero de Rodas, or a bit further, C. San Pascual, which is highly inconvenient for us and many hundreds of other people. It was always busy so they can't blame lack of customers !!

It states that ....

Correos, as part of its transformation process to provide a more efficient service to citizens, is reorganizing its network in compliance with all the obligations outlined in the Service Plan. Accordingly, the company has decided to transfer, starting March 31st, the service currently provided at the branch located at Av. Desiderio Rodríguez, 37, to the other two offices.

Regarding the post office box service you use, we inform you that your mailbox will be transferred to the office located at C. Caballero de Rodas, 55. If this location does not meet your expectations, we can offer you another office within our national network.

If this proposal is not entirely satisfactory, please consult with the office management to discuss another solution that better suits your needs.

No, it's the Correos Office behind the Dialprix in Av. Desiderio Rodríguez. I was there this morning and it was definately shut with the above notice in the window.

Not just the inconvenience of losing your closest Correos, but it was in an easily accessible location and Correos users had a good chance of getting a parking space in close proximity, unlike the location of Correos in Calle Caballero de Rodas.

Where is the second of the two offices that they have transferred services from Avenida Desiderio Rodríguez to ? There was a Correos premises in Calle San Pascual, that I have only ever driven past, but it did not look like it provided a counter service, perhaps just a sorting office ?

I think the second one is in Orquidea, s/n, Edif. Flores Playa, Playa Flamenca. We use a couple of restaurants there but parking is a complete nightmare as it's so close to the beach.

Using the one in Calle Caballero de Rodas isn't the end of the world because you can always park in the car park in Calle Solero and then it's only a short walk.

The one in Av. Desiderio Rodríguez was also a short walk ... from our house. !!
