Tarjeta dorada
Tarjeta dorada
Is there any other travel agent beside vivalia travel that i can buy the tarjeta dorada ?
Alicante train station is too far and this one has limited parking, and my wife can't walk that far from the nearest car park , even orihuela train station is difficult to park
It would be our first purchase so have to physically go to register , i don't mind paying the additional 6 euro commission to an agent as it is cheaper than going to Alicante
I have searched but cannot find anywhere else, parking looks to be a nightmare at vivalia, i find it hard to believe there is only one official agent covering such a wide area
There is definitely nowhere around villa martin where i live
cheers

Re: Tarjeta dorada
According to Google all Viajes El Cortes Ingles locations act as Renfe agents and the cards can be applied for/obtained there - Calle Patricio Pérez 28. Not ideal parking, unfortunately.
Google AI has also suggested Zafiro Tours - Calle Caballero de Rodas 50. Probably best checking directly with the agency before considering visiting just in case Google AI has got in wrong. This agency is located fairly close to the multi-storey car park - Parking Centro el Arco - in Calle Ramon Gallud.
If you have a Spanish bank account, Google the bank name plus Tarjeta Dorada. Some Spanish banks are partnered with Renfe and can issue a combined debit or credit card that also functions as a Tarjeta Dorada card.

Re: Tarjeta dorada
Have you tried Falken Tours near La Zenia roundabout? They appear to be Renfe agents and are much nearer for you.

Re: Tarjeta dorada
If you want a card you can apply for one at the station where you are going to be departing from they will issue it there and then take proof of ID if pensioner but make sure not to book the rail tickets until they have handed you the Tarjeta Dorada then you will get all discounts on offer

Re: Tarjeta dorada
Hi fred, thanks for that
We had looked at all options but just got back from vivalia after a hospital appointment , and got them there
We were really lucky as i found one parking space 2 blocks away after driving around a few times
For anyone else wanting one they are 12 euros each from vivalia, 6 for card, which is just a paper print and 6 for their commission
Next year i will be able to renew online as my details are in the system , and i might go for the three year option which will work out cheaper per year ,especially now i won't have to pay commission in the future
But i do believe they are increasing the card to 7 euros soon
Thanks for everyones help
