I envy you Stowie39 and being able to take the dogs to Cala Ferris is a big plus. I love the planning and anticipation. The Tour de France in the pyrenees today makes me very nostalgic and now we even have a lovely 2014 camper which is a huge step up from the trailer tent which we thought was the height of luxury one time
buen viaje and keep us posted.

I love that bit of coast from the Nautilus, all the way into Torrevieja. Couple if really nice cafe bars to break the walk/bike ride.
Our camper is over 20 years old now so we don't rush anywhere, but we love it, have explored France and Spain a lot. We normally use our place in Los Altos as a base and tour around further South from there. Probably will not do too much of that this time.

When we bought our property over twenty two years ago, we were promised that the promenade at Playa de Los Naufragos Torrevieja was going to be extended along the sea front to the Nautilus, Punta Prima. In fact that was a big selling point when sellng houses in that area.
Unfortunately estates agents were still pushing that line even though there was little chance of it ever being built.
Rumour has it that some of the multi - million euro properties are built too close to the sea, so it was impossible. How true that is I don't know. !!
Re: Face masks current regulations
Booked to fly out to Alicante airport on the 12th Sept. but still feeling apprehensive. Not sure about renting car. Is bus to Torrevieja still running and on same time-table? If anyone knows, how strictly do they enforce wearing of masks and social distancing on the bus?
Re: Face masks current regulations
Anyone in the Los Altos/Punta Prima area fancy doing a pickup from Alicante airport on Sat 12th ETA 09:50? If so, what would your very reasonable charge be for two elderly passengers with a couple of suitcases and 2-3 small hand luggage?
Re: Face masks current regulations
hombre I would say relax and look forward to your trip. You will be delighted that you booked it. You will be living in your own local bubble and you will find everyone is very conscious of following the rules. Face masks on before you leave the house. It's face masks everywhere in Spain. The buses are allowed run at 100% capacity and yes face masks are obligatory. Airport timetable here. 6 trips in and out daily https://torrevieja.com/autobus-de-torre ... -alicante/

You're asking for an illegal taxi service, do you know that. !!hombre wrote: 07 Sep 2020 09:35 Anyone in the Los Altos/Punta Prima area fancy doing a pickup from Alicante airport on Sat 12th ETA 09:50?
