I think covid means people do anything they want now and it is supposed to be a get out of jail card for everything, some have used it for murder.

I did say BJ is not right wing. Not sure I could vote for further left. Must be confusing for a lot of moderate left wing people and people on the right.

The situation does make me laugh a bit, I hope the money does go where it should but I read it is not even going to get there for 2 or 3 years.

I will just put more in salary sacrifice pension, no NI in, don't pay it on the way out of pensions either. I will have to pay more as I do need a certain amount so you can't escape it. Use an ISA, shares have gone down though as a result, companies have to pay higher NI as well, less profits.

As much as this one? In my lifetime none....where has all the billions gone from the side of the bus promised to the NHS...i don't blame the Tories because they have always been corrupt grasping and self servng....i blame the toxic press that support them and the fools who voted for them and swallowed the lies hook line and sinker.

That is one of the problems... accepting that governments break manifesto pledges..

If we all accept this then what incentive do politicians have for telling the truth? Boris is in power now and just wants to forget parliament and do what he wants..

We should demand better from our leaders.

If you look at the manifestos of all the major parties, then they would all have been incapable of carrying out their promises in the light of a unprecedented virus which caused unheard of and unplanned spending. Just as a for instance , the Labour Party offered FREE social care for the elderly. I wonder how they would have been getting on with that. The world changes and actions have to follow the changes. On a microscale, a father promises his family a holiday. Subsequently he loses his job or there is a world recession or he can’t work due to Covid. Did he break his promise? Yes! Could he do anything about it? No ! Same with Governments. And since when was a change of 0.03% a plummet?

When Boris became prime minister he said, I already have a plan ready to solve the social care problem, apart from the fact that he was obviously lying, how was he going to pay for it then ?

The problem with the cuts is it only applies to us commoners or the weak and poorer in society, look what they did to the nurses, they risked their lives during the pandemic and were offered a measly pay rise
When have the cons suffered any cuts , i didnt see them offer to forego their last payrise , most have probably gained from the pandemic , they certainly saved from the loss of older lives that was down to their policies during the pandemic
