I am sure this will benefit the EU and both countries as they will be able to cross borders easily and trade without many restrictions..
The EU goes onward and upwards..
There is no restriction on trade between Bulgaria , Romania and the other EU countries. It is only on people entering the Schengen area from these 2 countries. Even that just means they have to show their Passport, and it can't be stamped, as we do in Ireland when travelling through the Schengen border.

I was thinking more of the wagons and commercials that queue for hours and days trying to get through the borders. We have seen the same at Dover.
If they are in shengen they can just drive over without paperwork. Gotta be better for trade.

Yes crummy you are correct about the delays at the Hungarian Romanian border but it can be a long or short delay seemingly depending on day of week and whether it's holiday time. Goods have X-Ray clearance similar to what was proposed for Northern Ireland. I read a Euronews report which cited Romanian truck drivers who said the road infrastructure in Romania is lamentable compared to Hungry on the other side of the border. You would think at this stage of their membership of the EU that road infrastructure would be comparable with neighbouring EU countries.
