Admin: Paid by credit card, but its under £100 so not able to use section 75

Another thing to watch out for, is if you buy a return, its not a return. Its actually 2 separate transactions! So if you buy what you think is a return for £120, you are not covered under section 75, unless one of those legs of the trip costs more than £100, and then you can only claim for that leg of the trip.

If that's not clear for anybody I will expand the explanation.

You could possibly look into the 'Chargeback Scheme' through your credit card company, although this route is always the last resort but I would imagine other travellers will be going down this road out of frustration with Easyjet. The 'Chargeback Scheme' is for purchases of £100 or less on debit or credit cards. Whilst the 'Chargeback Scheme' is not written into law, many card companies and banks do provide this service for their customers.

I have used the ChargeBack process in the past. Part of the problem with it, is that some bank staff don't seem to know about, and it can also take a fair amount of time.

I will keep trying the phone this weekend and bang out a few emails. But I must say, that I'm getting a hankering for the small claims, which is a system I do know. I don't think now that they should just be allowed to get away with just paying the refunds. They should have a cost added, as they appear to have gone out of their way to make it as difficult has possible to get your money back.

You can now request a voucher online, which is valid for 6 months. That's a no thanks on that one.
Still no sign of being able to request a refund online.

I believe Easyjet removed the refund button option from the manage bookings section, not that it would help you much either because scouring social media it is clear that those who accessed this option before it was removed are still waiting for a refund several weeks later.

BA also removed the refund button from their website.

The online refund option has been restored, not easy to find. But here it is

I had flights booked with jet2 for April cancelled but have received refunds, no problem. I have other flights booked for July with Easyjet and have been offered refund or credit note for future bookings.

Remember if you accept a credit note from an airline and it goes bust you cannot get a refund from your credit card company.
