Covid test

If I need a covid test do I have to phone 112 ,is it then free and where do you go?
Has anybody had a covid test done and had to pay for it , if so how much does it cost?

From what I am reading it says you would have to be referred by your doctor and be showing symptoms. The test would be free. All the usual private clinics in Torrevieja are advertising them like Clinica La Siesta, IMED and Quiron. Very pricey from €35 to €120. Nice little money earner.

So if you have the symptoms and go to the doctor and test positive you cannot go back to the uk , you cannot get a free test done then and be negative as if you have no symptoms the doctor wont give you an appointment
So the only way to get a test is to pay as i understand it
