Persiana blind

Ok. I am stuck. Blind sort of got stuck. Took the front cover off to find that the top slat had come away from the main metal roller. Strap had come off between the top slat and main roller. attached the slat to the top roller all going well however when we pull up the blind it just rolls back down again.
Need tension somewhere but I am stumped!
Is there something wrong with the bottom roller. The part near the bottom at the window?
Help!
I would send a photo if I k new how to do it!
