That is ok jimny1, better to have been covered by both of us rather than not at all.

It seems to have been cleared up now and an official communique issued from the Spanish Embassy in London that TIE, Green Residencia or your acknowledgement of having applied for your residencia will now be accepted for entry to Spain

Wonder why under 2. in the communique they have only provided a grace period of 7 days from 4 January, when current restrictions on arrivals from the UK has been extended to 19th January ?

I would say Carl it was just a window to give people time to return to Spain.
