Each scone provides 46 cals, 0.8g fat (of which 0.2g saturates), 1.2g sugar and 0.13g salt per scone.

Ingredients

- 100g (4oz) plain flour, sieved
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 80g (3oz) of oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 150ml (5fl oz) skimmed milk
- 1 large banana, ripe, well mashed, reserving a few slices to top the scones
- Low-cal spray

Method

1. Add all the ingredients to a large bowl and whisk together. The batter should resemble a double cream consistency.

2. On a medium heat, heat a non-stick frying pan and spritz with low-cal spray.

3. Pour in 2 tbsp of batter to form the scone, and let the mixture naturally spread out. When the surface bubbles, turn with a spatula. If the scone looks too dark adjust the heat.

4. Remove the scone from the heat and cover with a clean tea towel to keep warm. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

5. Serve with a dollop of yogurt and reserved banana.
