AEMET - Orange Weather Warning For Sunday - Extreme High Temperature

An orange weather warning has been issued for extreme high temperatures for the area tomorrow between 13:00 and 20:00, with temperatures expected to reach a maximum of 39°c inland, slightly cooler on the coast at 36°c.

A yellow weather warning is currently in place until 20:00 tonight for moderate high temperatures.

Don't be a fool in the sun, you will regret it.

Just got back from Orihuela max temp after lunch 41 degrees

Well it's not unusual ( Sorry Sir Tom ) to get temperatures in the high 30's this time of the year on the coast, but 41ºC is hot.
High humidity is the killer.

Yes, and they say that it's going to be even hotter than what was forecast for the weekend !!!

Temperature is really fluctuating. Down on yesterday by about 7°, but set to increase by that and some more tomorrow, before dropping again by more than 7° on Wednesday and then levelling out for the remainder of the week.

We live quite close close to the coast so we don't feel the brunt of the heat but it must be horrendous further inland.

But it's normally only for a short while and it keeps the tourists happy and sunburnt

They have forecast rain for Thurday and Friday morning, but I doubt if anything will materialize as usual.
