Nao Victoria in Torrevieja port

There is still time to see the replica of Magellan's ship which made the first circumnavigation of the world in 1519-1522.
It is there until 10th November beside the ice factory near the long Dique de Levante.

Also a replica of a Spanish Galleon of that era.

€8 p.p. to go on board, even if you don't wish to pay it is worth going along to appreciate the astonishingly small size of the vessel that first made it round the world. The Nao Victoria is the smaller of the two replicas moored there.

and the other good news is that the Pascual Flores, which was restored at a cost of €6 million by Torrevieja Town Hall and then left to rot is to be taken in charge by the Victoria trust (I think thats what they are called) and brought back to its restored state and used as an ambassador boat voyaging around various ports.
