Long Term Airport Car Parking - Alicante Airport
I'm surprised nobody has asked this before, apologies if they have, but I can't find anything using SEARCH.
Does anyone have any recommendations for parking a car at Alicante airport? I'm talking about leaving the car for most of the year, and being picked up from the airport to collect the car for 'short' periods. I believe some car parks check the car over before you are due to arrive, and even arrange ITV if necessary.
TIA

I use Parkvia
https://www.parkvia.com/en-GB/airport-parking/alicante
Basically its a comparison site. its always worked out cheaper for me using Parkvia than going direct to the parking companies

If you are leaving your car for long periods of time, you’d be well advised to park it under cover. We use KIRSTEN ENGELS and couldn’t fault it. Our car is parked under cover, they pick us up and drop our car off almost outside COSTA COFFEE. No delays. No minibus rides just the most wonderful service. It may cost more than it does to park in a field but in my opinion it’s worth every penny. I see all these cars parked in fields all around the airport as we drive there and wonder about the rubber around the windows, the tyres, the paintwork which are all exposed day and daily to intense sunshine and sometimes torrential rain.
It’s your choice but I recommend her very highly.

That sounds like a good recommendation Rosemary.

Cheers everyone.
We've also asked the same question on the "Non Resident Spanish Homeowners" group on Facebook (which is a very good group by the way), and have had lots of responses there. Plane are very popular with 8 recommendations out of 30 (though there was one person with an undefined gripe!); Seguro came second with 5.
Rosemary made a very good point about parking your car in the sun, which I had thought about, but had dismissed it based on cost (I am from Yorkshire after all!). With Rosemary's sun-issue in mind, I have found Star (2 recommendations) are a good price at 240 euros but also offer a protective car cover for 50 euros per year. So they come in at less than 300 per year, and the car has some protection.
I shall investigate further. Thanks once again.

Definitely keep your car under cover. Kirsten Engel is offering an undercover car park for a reduced price of €395. We didn’t pay upwards of €500 but no idea why she has offered this new price but we took it. Check her out. The pick up and collection service is first class. We book our seats at the front of the ‘plane, carry hand luggage only, go through passport control, message Kirsten telling her that we are on our way through, pop into the loo. Head for the escalator, up to Costa Coffee, walk out and straight into our car. A few pleasantries, car park ticket handed over and we’re away! It’s so much better than all the hassle we used to go through when picking up a hire car. Most of those firms were Charlatans and crooks. The best thing we did was to buy a car and park it with Kirsten Engels.
