I’m watching the nightmare of life in the Ukraine as decent Ukrainians leave en masse. I’m beginning to think that Putin wants the loyal Ukrainians to go and he will then relocate Russians into the country to take over their homes and jobs. The Ukraine will become part of Russia. The people who have left won’t be able to return again. I hope I’m wrong but that’s how I see it unfolding.
What on Earth can we do to prevent this? It’s heartbreaking. Putin is winning and nobody is stopping him because we are all too scared of the threat of a nuclear war.

That is the question, be scared of him and let him do what he wants or do something about it.

The sanctions are very damaging to Russia. They will have to explain to the Russian population why they are not able to enjoy the day to day things they are used to enjoying.
Soon Russia will default on bond payments. Russia is being economically isolated.

The news are not reporting all the horrors yet
I have seen international news reports tonight on brasilian tv that russian soldiers are forcing their way into ukranian homes , raping the children, boys and girls in front of their parents then shooting them dead
This Putin is a monster on par with hitler and his army are the same
I hope someone assassinates him sooner than later

The scenes you discribe are too horrific to be true in this day and age, so with all due respect, I`m not going to attach much credenece to the story. !!

I also doubt the story.

If it was true Zelenskyy would be shouting it from the roof tops. He wants the west to join in and atrocities like that would be likely to bring in NATO. There is no mileage in keeping such things secret.

As i dont speak fluent portuguese i depended on my wife to translate the news that was showing last night
She is a journalist and confirms thats what was broadcast last night on the global news channel from brasil and this information came from a ukranian doctor
I know these kind of atrocities went on in kosovo , so it would not be hard to believe russian soldiers were also doing the same

There are people still in denial of the atrocities committed despite all the documention and film
So god knows what this new generation of soldiers are capable of ,far more imaginative and devious than those of 75 years ago
We all know how much evil exists in this century , you only have to read the news to see new heights of depravity reached daily
I really hope the broadcast last night was wrong, as i hope the threat of nuclear deployment we are hearing about is only that
Especially when you have two unstable countries like Russia and the US with their fingers hovering on the button
