"Life In The UK" Test - Also Known As British Citizenship Test

The "Life in the UK" test, more commonly known as the British Citizenship Test - the test that anyone born abroad who wants to live in the UK permanently, or who wishes to become a British citizen, has to pass as part of their application.

The "Life in the UK" test consists of questions compiled from 3000 facts about Britain, with applicants given a random set of 24 questions to answer.

For those taking the test in the UK, the test must be completed within 45 minutes and applicants need to correctly answer 75 per cent of questions to pass - 18/24 is the pass mark.

As well being able to answer these questions the applicants must also have spent a certain period of time in the UK, passed an English language test, and not have any criminal convictions.
