Re: Road to Villamartin.
The pot holes are back but the article did not state they are going to upgrade it at a quick read?
Re: Road to Villamartin.
Unfortunately, whilst attractive, for as long as that stretch of road remains tree lined it will always suffer from potholes as the tree roots continue to grow and spread.
Did notice elsewhere on the Orihuela Costa that they seem to have got their act together on pothole repairs, properly squaring off edges, filling with tarmac and then sealing the edges between the old and new tarmac - so perhaps some progress is being made, albeit slowly.
They had workmen on the road about a 1½ weeks ago, sweeping back into the holes the loose stone chippings that had previously been used to fills the holes and which had been displaced across the road by vehicles.Retire1day wrote: 07 Sep 2022 15:05 The pot holes are back but the article did not state they are going to upgrade it at a quick read?

Re: Road to Villamartin.
Now they need to tackle all the weeds growing everywhere , some blocking pavements in certain areas around here, and dont get me started on the rubbish building up in the gutters , it is a total disgrace , you only go a kilometre or so towards campoamor and the roads are pristine
I dont know if anyone saw my post about the abandoned car down the road just past bar 22 ?
It is terrible down there, there is a small tree and bushes growing out the pavements , i took a photo of a snake by the side of the road a month or two ago and the other day there was a feral cat sitting by a large rat it had killed
I have to walk in the road with the dog as the pavements are blocked all the way along
There are many properties on this road so i dont understand how they put up with it , saying that your complaints fall on deaf ears
I suppose they are waiting for the next elections before doing a major clean

Re: Road to Villamartin.
Inspite of using that road for more years than I care to remember, I had no idea that it was privately owned. I wonder now how many more there are like that in the area.Brandyboy wrote: 07 Sep 2022 09:28 About time too. I once broke an alloy wheel because of a pothole on that road. !!

Re: Road to Villamartin.
Lovely cat cleaning up the vermin. On the Road to Villamartin I am sure there are sections of houses who maintain the pavements between them, pull the weeds up, I have seen them out there. Nowadays you have to do it yourself but that is one benefit where our apartment is, we have pool cleaners, gardeners, painting funds, dont need to lift a finger hardly, cleaning the patio and a few leaves on the always pristine fake grass is as much as we have to do there.
Re: Road to Villamartin.
Yes thank goodness the cats are keeping the rats down R, i also didn't know the villa martin road was private, i could never understand over the years how it was allowed to get in the state it does, at one point the trees were pushing up the roots so much it was like driving over a skateboard park , and yes the people living along the road do clear the weeds and help maintain it , i see it oftenRetire1day wrote: 09 Sep 2022 11:56 Lovely cat cleaning up the vermin. It would take an army of gardners months to clear the road by me, i think the residents have just give up, i think it will be turned into a nature park soon, in the worse sense

Re: Road to Villamartin.
Well you could have knocked me down with a feather, somebody has removed the large overgrown bush in the middle of the pavement down that road today
The roots are still there but the main foliage has gone
And that abondoned car has also disappeared in the other post
I wonder if someone living there was reading this post, its a big coincidence otherwise
The power of the forum eh
