German Drugstore Rossmann To Open In Quesada & Rojales

Really surprised that Rossmann has not opened a store in this area sooner given its popularity in other regions of Spain plus the respectable number of full and part time German nationals residing in this area. Up until now the closest store was in San Javier.

The Rossmann store in Ciudad Quesada (Rojales) opens at 9am on Friday 3rd February, the Torrevieja store on 31st March.

Very interesting to note that the Quesada store is close to Lidl and the Torrevieja store close to Aldi, both are German originated supermarkets. Coincidence or nepotism?

I would say footfall. I don't see any location in the article for Torrevieja. Will it be on Avd Las Valencianas?

Just seen this on Facebook. Sort of adds to the confusion with the announcement of Torrevieja but no mention of Quesada, yet reiterating that 2 stores will be opening - the only thing that seems more certain is the Rojales store because it gets mentioned in the article and then in this FB post.

The Torrevieja store will be near to the Aldi store, close to the hospital. Address details for both new stores are on the Rossmann website -

The Store for Quesada is Rojales which is the correct name for Quesada, it is next to Lidls

Just looked at the linked article in the OP and noticed it has been amended now to read stores opening Rojales and Torrevieja, having previously said the two stores would be opening in Quesada and Rojales.
