Ingredients

- 1 garlic cloved, chopped
- 2 tsp freshly chopped oregano
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lamb leg steak
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 large round flatbread, lightly toasted
- 2 tbsp tzatziki
- Handful of lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- ΒΌ small red onion, thinly sliced

Method

1. Mix the garlic, oregano, lemon juice and olive oil in a small shallow dish. Add the lamb steak and turn to coat. Cover and marinate in fridge for 2 hours.

2. Heat a griddle pan over a high heat. Drain the steak from the marinade, season with salt and pepper, and griddle for 2 - 4 minutes on each side or until charred and cooked to your liking. Remove from the pan, cover and allow to rest for 5 minutes.

3. Thinly slice the lamb. Top the flatbread with the tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, sliced lamb and onion. Season lightly and serve with extra tzatziki.

The only place that I can remember seeing Greek flatbreads was Lidl, and that was during their "Greek week".

Whilst not totally similar by way of ingredients and texture, although a type of flatbread, mini Naan bread is offered as an alternative for this recipe and is comparable in size to Greek flatbread. Naan bread is readily available on the shelves on the major supermarkets, however not seen the "mini" version.
