Forum get togethers

Has anyone been to any of the forum get togethers.

I've been to quite a few and enoyed them all, no matter who turned up.

We met at several venues, The Emerald Isle, The Courtyard in Los Balcones, Captain Morgans at Eagles Nest near Villamartin and Summers Bar at El Galan.

It was great meeting people face to face and many a hand was shaken to settle differences of opinion and we had some great characters and I can remember one meeting at Captain Morgan when Kevin Tyler was there and he introduced me to non other than .. 'Essexboywithwhitesocks', and we remained friends for many years.

But life moves on .

I don't think there is the enthusiam for forum meetings as there used to be and members now just meet up for a beer.

I`m up for that with anyone , just PM, now that Dopey B*lls can't read them anymore.

I went to at least one downstairs at the Filton Centre long long ago - is that the same as The Courtyard?
Also one somewhere opposite Rocajuna hotel, a couple of blocks back - can't remember the name of it.

Yes that's the one, and we had a good crowd if I remember. A dog called Treacle was there with his mum, I met his' old man' at another meeting at the Hemorrhoid Oil, La Florida.

I remember going to one not far from the Rocajuna on the other side of the N332 next to the water tower, the El Nacional, but that was with Mycostamorons with Tim 'Nice But' Dim, little fat bald man, I seem to recall.

Yes I remember them.
Perry has sadly passed away now and I seem to remember that Vince and Caireeen running a bar on Via Park 3, what used to be the snooker club, another venue for a forum meeting.
