How did they miss fractured ribs and scapula, as it was supposedly checked, then 2 fractured vertebrae?

So sorry to hear this , what a terrible thing to happen to such a nice person
This is where spain fails in relation to insurance and accidents
This type of thing is covered in the UK by the uninsured drivers fund or MIB
Who funds the MIB?
How are we funded? Every Insurer underwriting compulsory motor insurance is obliged, by virtue of the Road Traffic Act 1988, to be a member of MIB and to contribute to its funding.

He would have been automatically covered for damage and personal injuries there from an uninsured driver
Spain should have this , especially being an EU member !!!
