Anyone still think just a few months in politicians are still over reacting or its all a hoax.
I never did and it will only get worse, far worse than any flu over the last few years.
I have a good friend who has just been placed into an induced coma after diagnosis.
RIP all those who have died and sadly all those who will die.

Hello Jimbo, I am really sorry to hear about your friend. I will pray for them to recover. Like you, I have been very aware of the nightmares approaching many good and decent people but there are still so many who will not listen to the ever increasing number of warnings. They refuse to believe that there is a killer loose and we can’t see it. Watching the tv and utube , listening to the daily reports of deaths everywhere defies comprehension but when a dear friend or family member becomes ill, that is enough to chill my blood. Please take good care of yourself and family. Take no chances and with the help of wonderful health professionals, your friend will fight back and get well again. Please let me know , I shall be thinking about you.

All these people comparing a years figures for flu to a few weeks of this and saying its not so bad.
Well another 2 weeks in and hopefully they will see the difference now.
My friend is a schoolteacher and have now been told she may have to remain in the coma for at least another 6 weeks.
We all live in hope at the moment.

And just 1 week since the origanal post 617000 cases, more than doubled and 28381 deaths again more than doubled in a week.

Did you know 925 cases were declared recovered in Italy, today?...thought not...

I have been to four funerals since January...none were down to covid19... and even now I do not know anybody...anybody ...with the disease...

The big difference between this and flu?.....there is a vaccine for flu....otherwise...

No matter what we think or believe the increase in numbers far outstrips flu.
Did you know already in 3 months there have been more covid 19 cases than flu in 12 months...tbought not.
Did you know thst cases and deaths have doubled in the last week.. Thought not even though its known worldwide.
You can believe what you want but I tend to believe those in the health services and medical professionals than any amatuer expert on an expat forum.

That is inline with predictions as against the hoax and panicking fantasy spouted by non medical or scientific experts.

And for those who are assuming incorrectly why something has happened they need to understand why the change has occurred. Originally mortality rates were unknown and now more is known. Sadly still being ignored by some.

The British government has downgraded the coronavirus from being an acute infectious disease with a high case fatality rate.

It is because it does not meet the high fatality rate percentage. It does not mean it is not highly infectious or can lead to death.

Well most of the world disagree with you thankfully and in case you hadnt noticed most of the deaths arein the ober 70s or is that something else you choose to ignore.
Are you advocating we should all ignore the medical advice because you know better.
My advice is to take notice of government and medical advice and stsy safe.
Yours is the worst is not to come and just carry on. Like all those other selfish fools who think they know better.
Stick to politics as nobody is bothered about it anymore and hardly anybody is joining in.
