I read this today online and seriously wonder what is going through peoples heads
Marks and Spencer have removed pictures on instagram from their christmas advert , the one with dawn french as a fairy, because someone complained the party hats burning in the fire grate were the colours of the Palestinian flag !!!
What have traditional party hats in traditional colours have to do with Palestine and the war ???
Anyway the advert was made in August, long before the present conflict
Its typical of what is happening in the UK, it takes just one person to complain about something and they bend over backwards submissively , apologising as they do

Ridiculous...although i would suggest the real reason the UK is falling apart has more to do with the last 13 years of government than a silly xmas advert.

Unfortunately in the UK you can no longer say or write anything that could potentially upset anybody. Disclaimers are everywhere (you see it more and more on BBC TV programmes) and the woke brigade are having a field day, being upset at the slightest thing. People are being 'cancelled' over ridiculous matters and how to refer to someone is a nightmare.

I sometimes think it would be fun to protest and demand reparations from France, Denmark, Norway and Italy (to name a few) for their role in enslaving early inhabitants from what is now Great Britain. They came across the North Sea in their longboats raping, pillaging and seizing slaves. Likewise across the Channel. Or is there a particular cut off date in woke culture beyond which you can't be upset by previous generations?
