You get a prescription from a doctor and get the B12 from the pharmacy then see the nurse and she will inject it in to you and book another appointment for next one usually in 1 month I had them on NHS here in Spain for over a year as I am on the NHS all was free

Good or bad ,I am under retirement age 😉 have you any idea how much it cost for the b12 medication . Is it every month or does it depend on each person?

Mostly 1 per months I have no idea of cost but do know that once the B12 kicks in it is like having a new engine fitted

Ask in the Farmacia. It will probably be cheaper if they do it. A course of 5 Vitamin B12 injections is €100 to buy in Ireland. If you know a nurse he/she would do it for free for you or ask at he Farmacia they may do the injections for you.

I know someone who felt exhausted and the doctors etc thought she had long COVID, B12 is very important, look up foods that have B12 as well. Take vitamins if required.

Hi Harrodene.. re your questions on b12 deficiency..I have Pernicious Anemia which is a very dangerous form of b12 deficiency..My body cannot process b12 from my diet as I have no intrinsic factor.. If you’d like to learn more have a look at www.healthunlocked.com just type in the search bar pernicious anemia or b12 deficiency. There are many reasons not to just assume it’s b12 deficiency and get yourself checked using the correct testing methods to ensure it’s not p.a as b12 deficeiency is normally dietary ie vegetarians and vegans and easily resolved with supplements p.a is not and needs loading doses of injections after proper diagnosis..then regular injections for life.sorry I can5 type more right now I have macular holes in my eyes and it makes it very difficult for me to read or type but that’s a good start I’ve given you if you want to know more..best of luck. Jeanie😉

I buy my b12 shots ampoules, from Germany and the rest of the kit from U.K. as I self inject because I also have functional b12 diagnosis ,this is where the b12 cannot get into the cells and just floats around in the bloodstream so I need large doese of injected b12 so that it has a better chance of more trickiling into the cells. It’s a very complex diesease that they just don’t know lots on and can’t agree on what they think they do know. Nhs will only prescribe every 2-3 months, that’s no use to people like me who have suffered neurological damage due to incorrect or late diagnosis. As I said very complicated and lots to learn to be able to live with this illness.. sorry about typos ,eyes again.
