No nutritional information available.

Ingredients

- ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 500g beef mince
- 1 tsp mixed dried herbs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 slices back or streaky bacon
- 4 buns, split

Method

1. Preheat a barbecue following manufacturer's instructions. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Cook the onion for 5 minutes, stirring often, until soft. Set aside to cool slightly.

2. Combine the mince, herbs and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add the onion and mix well. Using clean hands, shape the mixture into four chunky patties.

3. Cook the patties for 5 - 6 minutes on each side. While cooking the second side, add the bacon to the barbecue and cook until golden.

4. Toast the buns, face-side down, around the outside of the barbecue until lightly toasted. Fill the buns with the burgers and bacon, and with sliced tomatoes, lettuce and sauce of your choice, if liked.
