Clave

Over the recent months I keep reading that if you have a "clave" you can do so many things yourself. Without sounding stupid would 1 clave give you access to the DGT and SUMA and other goverment organisations or do you need 1 for each organisation?

Ps how do you get one?

TIA

The easiest way is to visit a SUMA office. There are differing replies whether non-residents can have a Cl@ve or whether they need the Digital Cert. Anyway you can get either or at the SUMA office. Yes it allows you to access all Government offices as well as SUMA and DGT.

According to SUMA you need an appointment:

An appointment is NOT required to be attended at any Suma office, EXCEPT for obtaining a Cl@ve access, a digital certificate or to be attended at a Cadastral Information Point.

You could also contact International Residents Office of the Ayuntamiento in La Mata

For appointment book from the Ayuntamiento web page

We are both permanent residents but would be good to get cl@ve as seems as though you can get a lot more things sorted

I think the Cl@ve sounds more familiar to people than the Digital Cert as the Cl@ve works like your banking app where you get a code to your phone. The digital cert needs a file downloaded to your computer.
