Ingredients
- Plain flour, for dusting
- 400g - 450g fresh or frozen pizza dough (defrosted if frozen)
- 6 tbsp pizza sauce
- Small handful of basil leaves, roughly torn
- 60g thinly sliced salami, torn
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped
- 250g mozzarella, cubed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp parmesan, grated
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Method
1. Lightly flour a clean work surface. Divide the dough into six, then stretch each into a 15cm circle. Spread 1 tbsp pizza sauce over each circle, leaving a 1cm border. Scatter with the basil, salami, chilli and mozzarella.
2. Dampen the borders of the dough with a little water and fold over to create a half-circle. Press the edges together to seal, and fold the edges up slightly. Lightly brush the base of your air fryer basket with oil and arrange the calzones in one layer (you may need to do it in batches). Brush the remaining oil over the top and sprinkle with the parmesan and oregano. Cook at 200°C for 8 - 12 minutes until golden brown, flip and cook for 5 minutes more. Let stand for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
