Sad to hear that.

I remember seeing him perform on the stage at Zenia Boulevard a couple of years ago at what I think for one of the Pink Ladies charity events, great voice.

Thankyou reddragon .

Rip Ricky. I've met Ricky many, many times and as Carl mentioned, I've also seen him at the Boulevard.

He was well aquainted with Kevin Tyler and would sing at a lot of Kevins gigs.

Now he can tell Laura that he loves her.

So sorry to hear this.

Conflicting news reports the BBC news have him as 84 and living in Skegness since lockdown. They also report he was suffering with dementia

Skegness, Cabo Roig...what's the difference? :D
Interesting facts.. his real name was David Spencer, and he was the eldest of seven....Was he the only one with a great voice? Any siblings enter showbiz, I wonder?

Yes Stowie39, misleading inforrmation from the Leader, who have now changed their story, although they are still showing his age as 81 under his picture.
Considering they said that he was very popular with them that they would have got his age right and where he was living when he died.

Although I met him several times and he was a lovely person, he was never a powerful singer and of course many called him a one hit wonder.

I actually cringed a couple of years ago, came across him doing a set at the Princess Bar Punta Prima Commercial centre, unfortunately he was out of time to his backing tracks and struggling to stay in tune. The anecdotes between numbers was good though.
