I think you are probably right when you say it will be popular this year, with little else entertainment wise on offer.

Would imagine that keeping such an environment sterile will be challenging for the ice rink management.

Just what is needed to stop people from congregating together during a pandemic. If a skater falls over, can someone go & help to pick them up? Or, do they lie there until the paramedics arrive?
