Something different from the norm so no guidance as to preparation time etc. or nutritional information provided.

Ingredients

- 12 ready-made cupcakes
- 400g (14oz) tub of ready-made vanilla buttercream
- Deco Melts in the following colours: green, blue, red, extreme white and black
- 250g (9oz) packs of ready-to-roll icing in the following colours: poppy red, black, Lincoln green and orange
- Handful of pretzels
- 150g (5oz) milk chocolate
- Small jar of rainbow sprinkles
- Small jar of edible silver balls

You will need

- Lollipop sticks

You may want (optional)

- Snowflake plunger star cutters

Method

1. In a bowl, crumble the cupcakes into fine crumbs. Stir in the buttercream a teaspoon at a time until the mixture is thick and holds together. Line a baking tray and divide the mixture into seven. Squeeze and mould the mixture into ice-pop shapes. Lay them down on the lined tray and insert a lolly stick into each one. Put the tray into the freezer until they are solid - at least an hour.

2. According to your preferred colour/design, melt Deco Melts in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Remove the cake pops from the freezer and use a spoon to coat the cake pop with the Deco Melts. Lay the cake pop back down on the tray to set and decorate as desired. Once completely set, they're ready to be packaged and gifted.

Rudolph Cakesicle design

1. Make a big round nose from red icing and two small black balls for the eyes. Use a sharp knife to cut across two pretzels to make the antlers.

2. Dip the cake pop in lukewarm melted chocolate - add the eyes and nose and place the anters at the top of the reindeer's head.

3. Add sprinkles if desired.

Snowman Cakesicle design

1. Coat with white Deco Melts.

2. Add a thin strip of coloured icing across and down each side for the scarf. Cut an extra piece and use a sharp knife to cut tassels for the end of the scarf- attach in position.

3. Add eyes and a nose and star sprinkles for the buttons.

Christmas Tree Cakesicle design

1. Coat the cakesicle in green Deco Melts. When this layer has set, use a fork to drizzle on more green.

2. Decorate with colourful sprinkles, silver balls and star shapes.
