Serves: 8 (makes)

If served as eight pitas each provides 429 cals, 15g fat (of which 4g saturates), 13g sugar and 0.7g salt per portion.

Ingredients

For the sauce:

- 1 cup fat free plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup finely chopped peeled cucumber
- 1 tbsp minced fresh mint
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp snipped fresh dill
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt

For the pitas:

- 450g (1lb) lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 medium Golden Delicious apple, finely chopped
- ¼ cup raisins
- 2 tsp curry powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 8 whole wheat pita pocket halves

Method

1. In a small bowl, mix the first seven ingredients. Refrigerate until serving.

2. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 6 - 8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink; crumble beef; drain. Add apple, raisins, curry powder and salt; cook until apple is tender, stirring occasionally.

3. Serve in pita halves with sauce.
