Ingredients
- 8 sausages
- 1kg (2.2lb) potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, peeled and sliced
- 500ml (1pt) gravy
- 1 tbsp Worcester sauce
- 50ml (1½fl oz) whole milk
- Knob of butter
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6.
2. Put the sausages on a baking tray and bake for 25 - 30 minutes, until cooked through.
3. Meanwhile place the potatoes into a lidded pan, cover with water and bring to a boil, cover and cook until they are tender.
4. Heat the oil in a pan, saute the onions until soft and starting to colour, pour the gravy into the pan then add the Worcester sauce and keep warm.
5. When the potatoes are cooked, drain and mash them together with the milk and butter, stir in the mustard, season to taste.
6. Scoop a mound of mash into a bowl or onto a plate, pop on 2 sausages and pour over the gravy. Serve with fresh or frozen vegetables.
