Ingredients
- 200g dark chocolate
- 125g butter
- 110g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 190g plain flour, sifted
- 200g milk chocolate, 100g chopped/100g reserved
- 100g white chocolate, chopped
For the decorations:
- Red sweets or a cherry for the nose
- White chocolate buttons for the eyes
- Pretzels for the antlers
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas Mark 4.
2. Grease and line a 20cm round cake tin.
3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over a low heat.
4. Stir in the caster sugar.
5. Cool slighty, then beat in the eggs.
6. Fold in the flour and the chopped milk and white chocolate.
7. Pour into the tin and bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
8. Cool. Cut into 8 wedges.
9. Melt the 100g reserved milk chocolate and use as "glue" to add red sweets for noses, white chocolate buttons for eyes and pretzels for antlers.
10. Using the picture as a guide, pipe on the pupils.
11. Serve.
