Elche CF, Matchday experience

While visiting a friend that lives in Rojales we took the opportunity to take in the Elche v Sporting Gijon game last weekend.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and an Elche win to keep up their push for promotion. We saw that Gijon is a 9 hour drive away, would most of their fans have flown to Alicante?? The match ticket, at €10, is massively cheaper than here in the UK.
