Yes. I guess this is the safest way to travel to spain at present. But when will this be allowed. To drive from the Uk to spain. Let’s face it the safety factors are
1, your in your own car
2, travel on euro tunnel you stay in your car
3, if you have tested negative in the Uk
4, basically. Stay in your car until you arrive at your home in spain.

I guess that is mulch safer driving than when you can going by air. Or even a ferry. I guess i will receive many comments.

If you are a resident of Spain, then you can do it now.

Assuming that you would intend to sleep in the car as its a long hike, 1000 miles or thereabouts

The European Commission have today proposed that the existing temporary restrictions on non-essential travel between Schengen countries be extended by a further month, taking it to June 15. So the earliest any visitors travelling from a Schengen country will arrive in Spain is likely to be June 15 at the moment.

No official details about visitors arriving from countries outside of Schengen area, but RTVE.es is reporting that travel restrictions from those countries will remain in place into July.

Maybe I should clarify, that you are allowed to return to your main residence, but wouldn't be able to return to the country you had come from.
