I am sure it is badly needed in the area.

The developer of the E3 El Barranco sector in Orihuela Costa has presented the project to begin the urbanization works , which has been opened for public comment. The aim is to prepare the land and install the necessary services on a 33,304-square-meter plot where a hospital and a small shopping center are planned . A nursing home was also considered but has since been discarded.

According to forecasts from the companies Espiral de Inversiones y Patrimonio and Inmuebles del Sol, construction will begin in April, and once the streets are completed, by the end of the year, work will commence on a private clinic, including operating rooms . To this end, they are in advanced talks with two companies in the healthcare sector to reach an agreement—still pending—with one of them , which would be responsible for the construction and management of the center.

Located in the commercial area of La Zenia, between Pimienta and Clavo streets, the Villamartín road, and the Los Dolses residential development , it is approximately 500 meters from the AP-7 motorway and about 50 meters from the Cañada de las Estacas ravine. The plan proposes a two-story building

Hopefully this will eleviate some of the pressure on Quiron Torrevieja, whilst at the same time provide them with competition in the private health sector in the area, that is assuming that Quiron are not one of the two companies in discussion for the new centre.
