Need Help with Smart TV

#1

Post: # 8546Post elcarretero »

I have a new Samsung Smart TV. I have a subscription to Eurosportplayer. I also have a smart dns subscription that is set up on my router. The TV is connected directly with the router by an ether net cable.
Yesterday all was fine and I was able to watch US open tennis using the Euro sport player app on my smart TV.
Today, the TV is reporting that the DNS lookup has failed.
I can watch through my mobile using the app but not the TV.

Anyone with any Ideas please?

Have you checked the DHCP settings on your router? Has anything changed? Perhaps they were not saved properly and the router rebooted itself overnight and lost the settings?

Further to last post, this on the Smart DNS Proxy website (is that the one?). At the end of the router setup instructions:

5. Click on Save Settings or OK button.

Attention

Make sure to RESTART your Router!

* Remember whenever your PC/Router IP changes, our service will stop working for you. You will need to LOG INTO Smart DNS Proxy and UPDATE your IP address so that our system could check your IP address and add your new IP to our database. Then, you will be able to continue using our service. If this is the first time you set up, we also suggest that you log in with your PC to our site from the same Wired/Wireless network to show our system your IP address.

Thank you Sheff_Blade . I have done a workaround by deleting the app, changing my provider, I have two different providers, and re-installing the app. I suspect that my original provider, who altered the router on my behalf, has changed some of the settings, I will check with them in the morning.
