The problem I have, is that I don't recall The McCanns ever accepting any form of responsibility in all this. I'm referring to leaving the children alone while they went out. I'm sure somebody will point me in the right direction of a video or statement, if they have.

I did take the opportunity to watch the video version of The Truth In The Lie, by the Portuguese Detective. Worth a look just to see the layout of the area, and the different routes they took. Does raise a few questions. After seeing this, I can understand why they became suspects. They don't appear to have helped themselves with their actions.

I just hope the kid is alive and well.

No, the McCanns have never accepted any form of responsibility, only admitting what is publicly known is that they left their small children alone in an unlocked insecure apartment while having a drink and a meal with friends in a nearby tapas bar.

That is beyond dispute, but is admitting what they did a form of acceptance of responsibilty.

Not according to them .. which makes them both below contempt.

When the day of reckoning comes ( for us all ) .
And we meet the "Great Architect of the Universe".
We will be judged by him.
I haven't reached that status yet , Francisco . ;)

Gerry McCann told yesterday of his terrible regret at leaving his children alone on the night Madeleine disappeared.
He admitted: 'We made a mistake, but we are paying more for it than anyone could ever possibly imagine.'

I only put this on to correct you as you made a specific point and raised the question.

That said, I have no time for them, they are responsible for putting the child in danger, at the very least. I believe they are guilty of far more and this German just happens to be convenient.
All the blame is being put on the Portugese police for missing him, no mention of the British who have spent far more years and money on the case than the Portugese and they missed him also or both have already exonerated him.

No sone unturned charity. My arse. Wouldnt even answer 48 police questions. But she did answer one. Acknowledgement that not answering the 48 questions does not help the case.

Yes and he showed that regret that with days of her disappearance he made Madeline a ward of court and set up the No Stone Unturned charity .

But hey. isn`t that what all parents do when their child has been missing for a couple of days. !!!

Please stop all of the nasty comments that is not what this forum is about or needs.
I do hope that the truth will some day be told but I doubt it.
The children were left alone,
why not lock the doors? I don't understand why they did that.

Nasty comments about two nasty people. Very fitting I think.

Talking of nasty.
Anyone see the t.v. interview, where Gerry "lost it completely" - tore off his attached microphone, and stormed out of the studio, after being asked a simple question .
Even Kate looked astonished , by his explosive reaction .
I can't remember what the question was offhand - but his reaction was questionable.

Some people by nature love to play judge juror and executioner...anyone notice the lack of condemnation for whoever took her.....no let's just blame the parents who have paid the ultimate price for a terrible mistake, then they'll justify the hatred by claiming "i'd never leave my kids unattended" so you've watched over them 24 hours a day 365 days a year eh? Yeah of course you have, you've never left them with a child minder or babysitter or left them in the car when paying for petrol....yeah of course you haven't....the saddest thing of all is that in our world there exists creatures that prey on children.
