Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann are going to investigate a German national, who is currently in prison in Germany , on an unrelated charge.
He is known to have been around the area in Portugal, at the time .
Living rough in a camper van- he had a criminal record, mainly of being a paedophile to young boys , amongst other crimes .

But , let's not get to excited at this "breakthrough".
The same man was on suspicion , back in 2010 , but was eliminated from the enquiries back then.

Is the McCann fund running low on cash? - or is Kate about to write another book ???
Call me cynical - but this is yet, another red herring.

Graham, i posted the same opinion as you on yahoo news , it seems a few years pass before another investigation materialises with another suspect , more money is funded, then the investigation fizzles out, its deja vu
It still mystifies me why the McCanns get this special treatment when other missing children are forgotten about,how many more years will it drag on

You're absolutely right, Jimny1.
It certainly feels like Deja Vu.
I've watched many videos on YouTube, by the brilliant investigative journalist Richard. D Hall.
He has various interviews with body a language expert , an ex C.I.A. profiler and others .
The two former ( living in the US ) , had no prior knowledge of the Madeleine case whatsoever.
But interviewed separately - they both came to the same conclusions (after watching numerous McCann interviews )
That the McCann's are lying , when interviewed, and know more about the circumstances of the missing child - than they admit to .

In a nutshell - because they think they've got away with it, Karen .
I'm not suggesting for a minute that they "intentionally" murdered Madeleine.
Neither are the experts , who have watched hours of compilation videos of the McCanns t.v. interviews .

But , regarding the "find Maddy" fund .
That was set up and registered as a LT.D. company ( that in itself is unusual, to say the least ).
If you Google the directors of this company , you will see, apart from Gerry & Kate - the other directors are some members of the Tapas 7 , and family members .
The first thing the McCanns did after the money started rolling in , was to pay off the mortgage on their home .
Both Doctors , but , in the years since ( to date ), neither have returned to work.
They have literally turned this tragic case involving their daughters disappearance , into an industry .
Kate has written at least 2 ( possibly 3 ) books about the event .
Apart from the experts who have watched them , I also have never seen any genuine emotion from them. Especially Kate . She's never shed tears or "broken down", while being interviewed .
My belief ( and I may be wrong), is that before going out , and leaving their children unattended ( not even taking advantage of the resort's babyminding service ), they sedated the children .
Possibly giving a slightly stronger dose to Maddy , being that bit older than her siblings.
The last holiday photo of Maddy, at the poolside, was taken on the Sunday ( the day after they arrived in Portugal ).
She "allegedly" disappeared on Thursday evening .
It's not out of the realms of possibility, that Maddy died , and was disposed of in the 3 days prior to the Thursday.
There's no credible witness sightings of her on the Wednesday and Thursday, beforehand.
I would recommend anyone to watch Richard D. Hall's documentary called, The Truth of the Lie .

And of course , there's the evidence of the Dogs to consider .
Eddie was a Dog trained in sniffing out the smell of a dead body .
Keela was trained in detecting blood.
Both Dogs were taken into the apartment ( seperately ), and went straight to the same locations , stopped and barked .
Which is what they're trained to do , when they find results.
They both singled out a built in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms of the apartment, and an area behind a couch in the lounge , underneath a window.
These Dogs had been used in over 200 previous investigations , with a 100% result.
Eddie reacted the same way , when he was taken to a hire car , the McCanns had rented .

After spending nearly 12 million pounds of taxpayers money, the Keystone Cops aka the Met police are no nearer whatsoever, thirteen years later in finding out what happened to Madeleine McCann on 7 May 2007.

The McCanns had, and still have, friends in high places and that is clearly evident from the disproportionate help, financial and otherwise, that these pair of scumbags have had, and are still having.

Ben Needham's mum never got a phone call from the British Prime Minister promising that everything will be done to find her son, or managed to get a private audience with the Pope or get a special invite to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show.. But the McCanns did because it was who they knew and stiil do.

The bottom line is that two so called middle classed doctors left three small babies alone and unattended in an unlocked, insecure apartment in a foreign country whilst out having jollies with their cronies. ...The apartment was out of sight and sound of the bar.

As Graham mentioned, the videos by Richard D Hall are an eye opener and whilst I don't subscribe to the general belief that the McCanns killed their daughter, their deliberate act of gross child negligence was wholly responsible for what happened to that little girl.

It's my firm belief is that because the dooor to the apartment was unlocked as was the gate at the side of the apartment leading out onto the street from the complex, Madeline could have quite easly woken up and obviously upset had gone looking for parents and met her fate, or just as easily, someon could have just walked in and abducted her. Either way , the McCanns are totally responsible.

And where were Madelinen`s parents when she needed them most .. getting pissed up with their friends .. who by the way have been sworn to secrecy .. except Jane Tanner of course, who was proven to be an abject liar.

This case has stunk from day one and stiil stinks to this day and if the McCanns had been a working class family on a council estate, they would have been arrested, prosecuted and charged for gross child negligence under the Childrens Act 1989 and the twins taken into care.
There have similar cases on the UK where people have been prosecuted for doing exactly what the McCann did.

But they turned the unfortunate affair surrounding the disappearance of their daughter into an obscene money making machine, lining their own pockets and the pockets of family members and greasing peoples palms .. Even hiring the country`s top class barristers to silence anyone who had the audacity to criticise them.

As I said... it's who you know and I hope they rot in hell.

Not much more I can add to that , other than myself, and the experts who have watched , and analysed the McCann interviews, have never suggested that Maddy was "deliberately" killed.
But , the evidence of the Dogs , does suggest that Maddie ( or somebody ) died in the apartment .
I've seen the videos of the Dogs being taken into the apartment for the first and only time .
There was no disputing their reaction , to what they found .
Also the filming of Eddie being taken to the hire car ... Same result .
