Surprised, looking at picture 2 as an example, how far the restaurants have been allowed to encroach onto the promenade. Assuming that the person in the picture is of average build, it looks like you will only be able to get 5 or 6 people abreast at that point.

It's not a place I've ever visited, Carl.
From the roadside , it never looked particularly inviting .
Just my opinion.

I know JamesB, but it seems as a result of covid they have just continued to expand their presence on the promenade. The article infers that the Council are aware of the infractions, but seem reluctant to act.JamesB wrote: 20 Nov 2020 17:10Carl.. Perhaps the implications of such expansions will become obvious once a normal summer returns and the volume of people struggle to transit the promenade because of its narrowness.

I found the owner very rude! Served Spanish first! No you can't sit at the front if not eating! Walked away.

Now that the building is gone, the Big question remains.Where will the sun worshipers who use is as a wind break go now?
Perhaps that’s where our walk will take us tomorrow.
Could have been a massive shock for some people yesterdsy ir today.
