What amazinng weather we're having at the moment and of course in a few weeks with February out of the way Spring will well... spring and the weather normally gets warmer .. and warmer. :D

According to yesterday was the hottest January since 1927. !!!

I don't know about you guys, but I think this winter has been particularly long and cold and although we have fitted carpets and central heating, it's good to see the back of it.

Just wondering how the holiday season is going to pan out this year.

After many years in Spain I had forgotten how miserable winters are here, from one cold rainy day to another.

It might have been a long winter there James, but compared to here it will have seemed quite short.

Yes of course Jimbo, and the memory soon fades then people will soon complain as to how hot it is.

Do you have any plans in the future for coming out again.

Yes. We are not resident so much depends on borders opening up.
We are waiting for France so we can drive back down. And will wait a bit longer if necessary for the vaccine.

We are planning 6 weeks there followed by 6 weeks back here etc etc to meet regulations.

Bloody brexit (you knew I was going to say that. :D

Perhaps we can meet up for a beer or even a brandy when you come over.

So glad Retire1Day has joined the thread with some input otherwise we could seem like a couple of old farts just chuntering away to each while being ignored by all and sundry. ;)

Yes fingers crossed Retire1day.

My three daughters were due to come our last June but it was cancelled, so they rebooked for September, but that was cancelled as well.

Now they have rebooked their flights for 5 June. So everything is crossed mate... not only fingers :D
