Yellow names.

Re: Yellow names.
I agree. Yellow does not work, especially on mobile devices where the names are illegible.Brandyboy wrote: 30 Oct 2021 11:02 I find the new yellow names difficult to read. Anyone else agree.![]()
In response to feedback received from a respected forum member this week I am looking to improve the colour contrast between member names and the forum background so am testing different combinations.

For what it's worth, I'm happy with current colour on the main page, although where your username is on top right next to Notifications and PMs, it is difficult to make out .. for me anyway.

Re: Yellow names.
Orange any better ? Letters in usernames appear to have more clarity and there outlines are defined.

Re: Yellow names.
Sorry for not replying sooner Fred.
I should have explained the situation better to all members in my earlier post on this thread. The feedback I had received related to the use of dark font usernames on a dark forum background, making the usernames illegible when those name are displayed on certain areas of the forum.
To improve the contrast between the font and the background the easiest option was to change the font. Unfortunately because the forum background consists of several shades of purple/mauve, depending on the colour of the username it might be visually clear in one location of the forum but illegible in another.
I had tested black on the forum yesterday and initially much to my surprise it did look like that would work as opposed to a dark green or dark blue, however I then found that in black the member's username next to Notifications/Private Messages was illegible against the very dark purple/mauve background, and so to was the pull down menu tab next to the username. So black was not the answer.
